Press
"Jonathan Lasch’s sumptuous bass-baritone captivates, particularly in his volcanic “A ship called hunger.” He dominates the final scene with commanding intensity."
- Jennifer Goltz-Taylor, Opera News
“The opening night cast was headed by baritone Jonathan Lasch as Falstaff. Lasch targeted his character in a handsome voice colored skillfully to fit the dramatic moment, whether loud and loutish, soft and coaxing or full of wounded pride.
He also inhabited it theatrically. Garbed and generously padded, he portrayed Falstaff as a waddling peerage clown, overstuffed with arrogance, but able to laugh at himself when a mirror is held up to him at the end.”
- Mary Ellen Hutton, Music in Cincinnati
"Baritone Jonathan Lasch balanced a big, powerful sound with a light-handed facility with which he made every note of the fast passagework perfectly clear."

"Jonathan Lasch shone in the title role (Don Giovanni), his strong baritone voice and powerful presence carrying the story of the notorious womanizer.”
- Laurel Firant, The Ann Arbor News
"I found the Ford of Jonathan Lasch and the Mistress Quickly of Teresa Herold to be the most thrillingly resonant and firm-lined members of the cast.
- Bernard Jacobson, Seen and Heard International Opera Review
"Jonathan Lasch made a splendid Tarquinius. Robust of voice, direct in action. We felt his raw lust.”
- David Stabler, The Oregonian
